"The
time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent, and
believe the gospel."
- Jesus, Circa 30 AD
Today
being "Christian" means a lot of different things to a lot of different
people. Jesus told us in John Chapter 3, "You must be Born again." It
doesn't sound like an option. The problem is that many people are not
sure what that means. I have stopped asking people if they are
Christians and started asking of they are born again. Those that
are will usually know it in no uncertain terms, because a person is not
born again by accident or unknowingly. Salvation, at least our
entrance into salvation, happens in a moment of time and the person
receiving salvation is an active participant. In this section you
will find some resources that will help you know for sure you've been
born again.
If You are not sure you are born again you need to
stop right now and make it a priority to know for sure. Your
eternal soul is the most precious thing you have. If you need help
contact us immediately
and someone from our ministry will be glad to answer your questions and
talk with you about what it means to be born again.
Short thoughts to help you better
understand what being born again is and what it means to be a
Christian . . .
Some of these resources have several
ways to use them...

Are You Spiritual or Just Religious? By Steve Highlander
Contrary to popular opinion
God does not want you to be religious, He desires for you to be

Don't
got to Hell for Something You Didn't Do! By Steve Highlander
Nobody wants to get in
trouble for something they didn't do. However, did you know that
it isn't what you do that ultimately sends you to hell, but
something you didn't do. Confusing isn't it? Well that is
why so many people have a hard time understanding and accepting
God's free gift of salvation.
If
There is a God, I'm Pretty sure He Doesn't Like Me! Now
What? By Steve Highlander
The World places value on
people based on their performance. The better a person
performs the more money they make and respect they get. Because
our performance is pretty dismal when it comes to sin, we
naturally assume God places little value in us. After all,
how could He love something with so little value? But God's love
is not based on your performance, but rather on the value he
invested you with when He created you.
Hasn't
Science Disproved God? By Joshua S.
Is science really at odds
with theology?
In this article Joshua
looks at the three disciplines of science, philosophy and theology
and concludes that the three are not really at odds, but that they
all ask different questions and provide somewhat different answers
from their particular perspective. As a committed missionary with
a degree in Anthropology, Joshua provides a unique perspective on
the issue.
What You Need
to Know to
Be Born Again!
You are a
sinner in God's sight -Romans 3:10 "For ALL have sinned and fallen short..."
Sin
brings death -Ezekiel 18:4 "The soul that sins
shall die."
-Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is
death.
God loves
you and made a way for you to have eternal life -John3:16 "For God so loved [you] that He gave His only
begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but
have everlasting life."
Salvation
is by FAITH in what Jesus did, not by our own efforts. -Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are you saved through faith,
and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works,
lest any man should boast."
Jesus lived
a sinless life and died a criminal's death to purchase your
pardon
-2Corinthians 5:21 "For
He (God) has made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin, to be sin
for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in
Him."
God requires
repentance of our sins
-Mark 1:15 and Jesus
said, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near.
Repent, and believe the gospel."
God requires
faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ
for salvation
Here's what you need to
know ....
"Because if you
confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has
raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For
with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and
with the mouth one confesses unto salvation. For the
Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to
shame." For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for
the same Lord over all is rich to all who call on Him. For
everyone, "whoever shall call on the name of the Lord will
be saved." Romans 10: 9- 13
